Not filled custom props->error on drawing

SW2001+SP2.0. The drawing template has revision notes which are linked to part custom properties. We have created 10 notes for start but if the part has just rev 3 filled then all other show errors. I understand this worked without errors in previous releases (>=2001). Please help with workaround. :

Try putting a space in all un-used custom properties instead of empty text.

The properties are created into model on "as needed" basis.
The drawing has 10 rev notes ready, but model has only as many as created. Is this wrong way to do it?

I just read the "addressings" of SP 3.0 yesterday and did not find anything reminding it.
Could you post the item here? Then I can get some peace.

Well I looked at it too, and I odnt see anything that specifically say the verbage we are looking for but the word down the pipe from SOlidWorks is that it will be adressed. Not all bug fixes or enhancement make the "cut" when it comes to writing out the lists. sometimes they fix them and don't add them to the list. So I am told anyway
