Does anybody know how to inserted dotted notation such as M.dot for mass flow. Or, double dot for acceleration? I would like to use this in a word document for a report, but want o use my MathCad to perform the math.

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks Peter,

I think I'll use Microsoft equation editor for now. I wish Mathsoft would find a way to use literal scripts, e.g. overscript or overstrike & understrike math notation for reports as used in texts.

This isn't really going to help you if you need m(dot) but just as an FYI. MathCAD does support the Unicode commands accessible by using the [Alt] button and the number pad. You can find the codes by going to your computer Character Map (do a search for CharMap on your harddrive).

For example you can get ÿ by holding down the Alt key while typing 0255 on your number pad and then letting go of the alt key.

Other double dot letters available in MathCAD include:

ä Alt+0228
ë Alt+0235
ï Alt+0239
ö Alt+0246
ü Alt+0252
