Gentlemen,
I want to heat a work piece surface uniformly and thinking of using a serpentine coil arrangement

I know that some part of it will cancel each other when current moves in opposite directions.

Is there any formula to calculate the critical distance between the Cu windings to overcome this cancellation..
How can I make this design more effective?
apart from the usual helical Cu windings, is there any other geometric shape which can give uniform heating of a circular
cylindrical surface?

Any examples or scientific papers citing serpentine coil design for induction heating?

Thanks

I think you may wish to ponder these links:

Obviously, you're not going for that much power, but I wonder if you've done the analysis to determine if the skin effect on your induction coils would interfere with the amount of current you need to pump.
