Dear All,

I would like to get your opinion regarding the below case.
Currently, I'm working with one project which is upgrading one of the offshore platform.
Due to new production data, process is increasing the inlet momentum value to 24,000kg/ms2 and 11000kg/ms2 at outlet nozzle.(liquid).
For the inlet momentum, cyclone will be installed to allow higher momentum as recommended by process.
Because of the increase of inlet momentum,I was ask to verify if the existing nozzle can take the load from the new inlet momentum value and i am thinking to check the maximum allowable nozzle load that the nozzle can take out. However, since this vessel was fabricated 30 yrs back ,the allowable nozzle load was not specify any in the G.A drawing. Project try to avoid any modification to change the nozzle to bigger size if possible.

My question is :
1.What value i can use to assume the nozzle load value for the existing nozzle .( 4 inch 600#)
2.Is there anything others than nozzle load that i need to check .For example erosion etc.

Appreciate if anybody can advice.

Thank You.
