We are currently working on a few pressure vessel design and our customer in their specifications is asking for nozzle loads as per API 610.
I see that this standard is for centrifugal pumps.

Would this standard address nozzle loading? It seems unlikely.

API-660, Appendix 1 has equipment allowable nozzle loads.

..... or you could do a more extensive pressure vessel nozzle evaluation using the rules and suggestions of ASME BVPV Code and the WRC Bulletin analytical requirements. (e.g WRC 107, 297, 368 etc. etc)

In years past, these rules have been discussed extensively on these fora by old, failing pressure vessel engineers ....

Most of the PV software design packages (such as COADE - PVElite) offers WRC nozzle loading options.

(There are many stolen PV engineering software packages available from Third World websites)
