Hi All,
I am currently working my way through the BS EN 14015 standard and creating my own calculation sheet so i and my company can understand what we manufacture better.
I am comparing my calculations to a third parties calculation sheet which they send to us for each tank we manufacture.
The issue i have is understand the terminology of equation 16 (section 13.1.4) for e1 -
"e1 - is the greater of ec or et derived from 9.2.2, OR the nominal thickness in accordance with table 16, in mm."
Our third party calculations always use the greater of the three thicknesses mention, but as highlighted it states or, so to me it means we are able to pick which thickness (greater of ec/et or from the table).
This sometimes makes a difference from having a compensation plate to not having one at all.
I hope this all makes sense and look forward to your response.
Best Regards
Jonnox
