NT vs TEMP

Hello all,

I have some problems understanding the meaning of the two notions NT and TEMP.

I am analysing a linear element (wire) for which I defined a gradient. If I want to check the results the two variables, NT and TEMP for the same node, are quite different.
Can anyone enlighten me, please?

From what I remember, NT is nodal averaged output value whereas TEMP is an element averaged output value. Unless you have a completely homogeneous temperature in the part, they can be different because of how the the nodal and element averaged values are computed based on the integration points. I hope this helps you understand the difference.
 
Thank you very much! It cleared things a little bit until I was comparing two cases: constant temperature through section and gradient through section.
The attached picture shows the points considered by Abaqus. In the picture I have inserted some charts. My question is why for the constant temperature it gives 4 different temperatures (SPs)?
Also for the last row, why NT3->NT13 (in case of gradient) are zero while for the constant temperature definition all NTs are equal?
