Hello,
I'm editing the calloutformat.txt file to match our
company's standards. I would like to change
<hw-depth> and <hw-threaddepth> so they display only
one decimal place rather than 3. Is there a file or
setting to change this?

Thanks.

The precision of the callout is controlled by the drawing the note is inserted into, not the format file. It is treated like a dimension.

<hw-threaddesc>-2B<HOLE-DEPTH><hw-threaddepth>
1/4-20UNC-2B'.2

I see you can change the precision of <hw-threaddepth>
by right clicking the hole callout, properties, precision,
and changing the primary dimension setting to ".1".

Where can I permanently set this precision without changing
the precision of all other dimensions. I just want to
change the precision of <hw-threaddepth> and <hw-depth>.

Tools-Options-Doc Properties-Dimensions-Precision affects
the primary dimension which I still want to be 3 places.

I guess I could dimension an entire drawing and then when
I'm through I could CTRL-Click all hole callouts and change
the precision all at once.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Well, I was going to suggest a dimension favorite - but that seems to be the only thing missing from the callout properties!

Dimensions and callouts are grouped together in one filter, so you can not filter just callouts and window-select.

Seems like your ctrl-select idea is the only viable option.

Maybe a macro could do this?

I called Trimech about this and their answer was that when you change the precision of the information in the hole table, SW treats this as a new hole. The only fix is to change the precision in Document Properties to the decimal places you want in your hole table and then change any other dimension individually to what you like. They said they were going to work on enhancing this in their next version. Is this what you were talking about? I found it when I tried changing the precision on the hole diameters.
