New user to pro-e.

We use a lot of nuts, bolts (several head styles), washers, dowels, set screws..etc many different sizes.

Does someone offer a FAMILY TABLES solution for each of the standard hardware styles?

Are we suppose to download from online catalog's each time we need one?

Else, do I just just take the time and make the FAMILY TABLES myself?

Thanks for your input. Looking forward to learning at least some of this software.

PTC provides a VERY extensive libraries of fasteners including those you mentioned. If you get the Foundation package it should be on one of the CDs it come with. OR maybe you can download them from the PTC website.

Don't ignore this! These fasteners are in family tables and conform to all the right ANSI, ASME, ISO, DIN,...standards. DON'T REINVENT THE WHEEL.

There are also mil-std connectors and some very useful UDFs. I've probably left things out but you can learn more about the free libraries by searching their website or contactin your rep; PTC provides catalogs for each library in pdf form.

Tunalover is right....
The PTC library is very extensive.
And with a little creativity, you can get Pro/E to display all desired fastener information on your BOM.
