I have an HP Z420 workstation with Quadro K4000. A lot of graphics card drivers were removed about a month ago for older graphics cards. I wonder if anyone has good recommendations which driver is good to install with graphics cards that are no longer supported. I use SW 2019 SP4.

And are there any settings recommended for Nvidia control panel to get the most out of SW performance?

I never set any of the settings in the Nvidia Control panel. Anytime I had tried it made it worse and unstable. Maybe it was me doing something incorrectly, but even our support told us not to.

As for the driver, you either need to get a certified card or keep testing them until you find a stable one. I have used some drivers that were in beta from Nvidia and they worked better than the ones SW certified.

Thanks Scott,

How do you evaluate performance of graphics driver? Just by using SW or with benchmark test in SW Rx?

Personally, it's just me using SW. IMO the dog and pony show in the benchmark is not going to put it through the paces that you work at. Granted the benchmark would be a good initial test to ensure that the driver can handle it at all.
