All,
We recently migrated from 11 to 12. Unfortunately, 12 doesn't seem to be playing nice with EZCam 2018. Our CNC dept exports parasolids from either viewer or full NX and then imports into EZCam. Some files will import fine while others will not. We're not getting any sort of error messages for the failed imports. Simply nothing happens. It's like you never attempted the import. Yet, some files open as expected. We tried rolling back the parasolid export version to 11 as well as 10, but the result is the same. The parasolids that will not import into EXCam will import into Solidworks fine.
One particular file that we had difficulty with is an NX 11 version file. We tried saving it with NX 12, then export, but no luck. We ended up steping it out. The issue is that our shop can't always count on a full NX license being available and viewer only exports x_t. Viewer doesn't have much in the way of preferences or setting that can be changed. Other than parasolid version, are there any other adjustments in viewer (or full NX) that we could make to address the issue?
Thanks,
Aaron
