Hello everyone.

I'm trying to find a way to be able to save parts in an assembly with different colors depending on my application.
I've tried using the Edit Object Display, but once I colour a part and try to define a different colour in a different arrangement or layer, it propagates to all the instances and it's not specific to the arrangement.

Is there a way to fix this and apply different colours to parts in an assembly that are arrangement or layer-specific?

Thanks

Ray

Unfortunately, colors are not arrangement or layer specific.
You could copy the view and use "view dependent edit" to change the color of objects. The colors you assign would then be view dependent. Admittedly, it isn't a great solution; but depending on your needs, it may work.

Maybe "View Dependent Edit" can help you, it's only available in drafting, look for "Edit Shaded Objects"
But you need a additionale view...

Switch in Drafting to the model views, you can use "Display Sheet OFF"

best regards!
