NX 7.5: How to Create 'Dynamic' Note?

Hello all,

First post here. I am pretty new to NX and drafting/modeling in general. I am hoping that
someone can help me with what seems like a reasonably simple task: I have a
drawing that has a table in it. The table is populated with dimension values of
the various parts associated with the drawing. The dimension values are just
simple notes (i.e. each dimension is its own note). However, each time the designer changes
the models, I have to change the values manually. It seems there should be a way to enter the
the dimensions as 'variables' so that they update automatically when I replace the components.

Any thoughts on this?
Also, feel free to correct any terminology I might misuse as we go along; I am here to learn.
Thanks for your time.
