Hi,

I do not have quite a perfect view of my part in 3D (for instance, the edge that define a hole looks like a hexagon!).
I assume that I need to change some option in Visualization, but I do not know what specificaly I should do........Can you help me out in this matter?

Thanks

Much depends on your visualization and visualization performance settings. If your system doesn't have any lag when rendering, you may want to experiment with some settings to improve the visual quality. Or you could just regenerate the display when things get too jagged (View -> Operation -> Regenerate Work).

Cowski,

I have the same inconvenient even after "View -> Operation -> Regenerate Work"........It should be something else.....
Thanks for your reply.

Preferences -> Visualization -> Faceting, try changing the tolerance for the shaded views to 'fine' (or higher), press OK and regenerate the work view.

If the part having "hexagonal" holes is a component in an assembly, and you've got your Load Options set to "Load Lightweight", (and you're using NX7.5 or higher), then this is expected behavior. Try right-clicking on the component and select "Show Exact".

But remember, there's no harm in leaving the holes looking like hexagons since this will mean that your display performance will most likley be better than if you changed the tolerance until the edges of holes looked smoother or you switched Components from lightweight to exact representations.
