Assembly mode: I'm able to create lines using the line option, I can see the lines in the workspace but it does not appear anywhere on the navigator windows. Why is that?

You might created Unassociated line.
Which option you used to create the line.

Only objects which are defined in NX as being a 'feature' will be accessible from the Part Naviagtor.

Un-associated line. Its ridiculous. Whatever the line type is, it should appear on the navigator.

Only associative line feature will be reflected in Part navigator.
Un-associated line does not create a feature. So you cannot get it in navigator.

you can list unassociative curves in the part navigator when timestamp order is off.

But only as long as those curves remain 'Unused'.

If you create a 'basic' curve, like a line or an arc, it's true that they will be visible in the Part Navigator in the 'Unused Items' folder. However, as soon as you use one or more of these non-feature curves to create some other object, like an extrude or a surface, they will no longer be visible anywhere in the Part Navigator.
