NX 8.5 Setting 1

Hello,

I'm running NX 8.5.1.3 on a 64-Bit Machine Windows 7 Pro.

2 questions:

1) Which setting do I change so that, when I hover the pointer over an object, I don't get a shadow version of the feature. IE if I subtract a revolve, if I hover over that profile I don't see the revolved solid?
2) How do I save my toolbar and default settings from 7.5 to import them into 8.5?

For the first item, go to...

Preferences -> Selection...

...and near the bottom of the second section of the dialog, toggle OFF the 'Highlight Original' option.

For the second item, go to the folder at the end of this path...

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Unigraphics Solutions\<last version of NX>

...and copy & paste the 'user.mtx' from there to...

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Unigraphics Solutions\NX85

...replacing the 'user.mtx' file that will already be there and restarting NX. You may need to do a little clean-up, turning items ON and OFF since things do change with each release, but you should be 95% or so there. Also note that if you've created any user-defined Roles in your existing set-up, you can also copy and replace the 'roles' folder that you will find at the above indicated locations.

Anyway, that should get you going for now.
