NX 8.5 won't open files after "double-click"

Hello!

I've recently upgraded to NX 8.5 from 7.5 as well as to Win 7 Pro from XP.

I am having an interesting issue; when I navigate to a .prt file using Windows Explorer and "double-click" to open the file an NX windows pops up and goes the the "Welcome to NX" page but does not open the selected part. Is there a setting in NX to allow it to open parts via double-click in Windows Explorer?

You will need to edit the double click action for file associativity for a .prt file type.

Where would I edit the double-click action? In Windows, in NX? I looked into default programs but have not been able to find anything related to the actual clicking action.

Right click the part file icon in Explorer and then Properties. In the top portion is a Opens With line and a Change box. Select that and build the association to NX.

NX may have a program/bat file that does it all for you by editing the registry. Looks for a file with associate or association in the file name.
