Note that with NX 10.0, even if you like the new lighter, brighter ribbon, an additional option has been added to make it slightly LESS bright, what we call the 'Light Gray' theme.

Beyond what is the last fashion trend in how a user interface must look to be considered modern, please keep the classical black and grey. It is the most comfortable for the eyes.
Unfortunately it makes NX look dated and besides, it technically violates Siemens' corporate standard for products which carry the 'Siemens logo'. That being said, we'll probably still keep it around for some time, but the out-of-the-box default appearance will have to remain the new lighter, brighter version, if for no other reason than to keep the guys back in Munich happy ;-)
