Where should I go (please, see the picture below)?

For Ehaviv's instructions, try the Start/Stop/Reread tab. It should be obvious from there.

However, I'm curious what type of "cleaning" was performed. If one or more .bat files were deleted, some environment settings may not get set correctly. In this case, restarting the license service may not help.

Thanks Cowski.

I have NX 9 and NX 10 on my computer.
I tried to uninstall the NX 10........
That was all I did.

Based on the first screenshot, it looks like the SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER environment variable needs to be updated or recreated (it may have been removed when you uninstalled NX 10).

choose config services tab
And check/set the correct license file
the one you need (nx9)

And then choose stop/start tab
And press start server.

Ehaviv,

Great directions, I got back my NX9!
Should I do the same thing with NX10 (It wasn't uninstalled, I still have it........)?

Thanks a lot for your time and for your precise step-by-step instructions!

YES.

I'm Hapy to help.

If you uninstalled NX10, ( -why ?) the uninstaller probably, as Cowski notes , removed the windows system variable SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER.
But, if the directions from Ehaviv cured the issue. keep.

If your intention is to keep NX9 but not NX10, you should not do anything more with the license server.

Regarding the "uninstalled NX10", it is very common that the uninstaller leaves a few files and directories.
Select the NX10 folder - "Properties", a NX10 install is somewhere between 10 and 30 GB, between 100 000 and 250 000 files.
( dependent on what is installed )
If there are say 500 files/folders in the NX10 folder, the uninstaller finished as expected. You can / need to manually delete the remaining.

/ Tomas

Thanks Toost.
How about if I want to keep the NX 10?
Is the windows system variable SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER unique for each NX release or both NX 9 and NX 10 share the same SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER?
Again, the uninstall procedure had failed......

If the uninstall started, it probably removed necessary files.
If you have the source files( "the DVD") First delete all NX10 files manually and then run the install again.
You can have any number of NX versions ( NX9, NX10, NX11, NX12 )installed on the same computer.
All you need to do when installing is to specify a new directory.
It is more difficult but fully possible to have say NX10.0.2 and NX10.0.3 in parallel.

Tomas
