NX 9 Plotting not working

We recently switched from NX7.5 to NX9.0 and on one particular machine we can't get the plotting to work. All of the task variables were set to the same directory (C:\NXPlot), and I can get all the plotters configured so they show up under the Plot dropdown menu. However when I try to go into Advanced Plot, I get the spinning wheel like NX is trying to do something, but it never moves any further and I can never cancel/back out of it resulting in me needing to do a CTRL Alt Delete and closing it down. I also just can't plot anything by just leaving it as the system profile and hitting plot. Essentially it is acting like it can't communicate with the plotter. I can however plot via the same plotter using a tiff file outside of NX, so I know the plotter is working fine.

I've tried deleting the entire plot folder and restarting from scratch, however this results in the same error. I guess the next step will just be reinstalling NX, but as that's a fairly lengthy process I was hoping to avoid that.

I had to add this to my system variables. I think. it's been awhile.
Call GTAC, theres no reason to reinstall. it wont help.

Thanks, I will pass it along to my IT support since I don't have access to set variables and hope it works.

per default on Windows 7 computers, NX will write a syslog file under
C:\users\"username"\AppData\Local\Temp
the file will have the name format : usernamethensomerandomlettersanddigits.syslog ( such as: Tomasc983b4a.syslog)

When this session locks up, open this logfile and scroll to the bottom, hopefully there is information on what locks up.
If you need help interpreting the logfile, you can upload the last "page" from it here.
The beginning of the logfile contains information about what company the license belongs to etc etc, so you can cut that away before uploading it here.

Sadly the NX plotting is a third party software which does not write all the details in the syslog, the plot job is "handed over" to that other software and once there NX doesn't get the info on whats wrong.

Regards,
Tomas

It doesn't necessarily lock up, as I can still move the windows around, zoom and pan the part, however the Plot menu locks and I can hit "Apply" and "Okay" but they don't do anything, and when I hit cancel it won't actually close anything. honestly it is acting like the advanced plot menu IS open, but it is no where to be seen, the only way I can get out of it is just CTRL Alt Delete because it won't actually follow the commands I give.

IT added the variable listed above, restarted the computer and still have the same issue, so it wasn't that sadly.
