Hi,

Can anybody tell me, is there any possibility of running a journal file based on an expression value.

i.e I would like to run a journal file for example d:\123.vb based on a value of expression Run_Journal = true

Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Maddy

I'm not sure about a journal, but I suspect that you might be able to trigger the execution of a KF (Knowledge Fusion) routine which might be able to do what you want.

Dear John,

Thanks for your kind reply,

could you please guide me on the same. I'm pretty much like a newbee at KF.
Though i have some idea on how to do, help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
Maddy.

I'm not a KF programmer, I just know that if you write a KF routine you can then 'register' it with NX and it will be available from within the Expression library of special 'functions'.

Would a simpler approach be to always run your journal but have an if sataement cehcking the expression value wrapping your entire routine?

That way if Run_journal = False then no action is taken

Hi, Mark

Thanks for your reply.
I've put a if else statement but can you please let me know which is the command used to run a journal file.
I'm unable to find it though.

Thanks and regards,
Maddy
