I hear it through the grape vine that Pratt & Whitney (Rocketdyne) out here in SoCal is looking at NX as a replacement for their now very dated V4 system (At least on the cam side). Would be nice to see more NX out our way... :)

they still use the V4? LOL
i hope that they don't use it for design too.

The commercial and military jet engine divisions of P&W have been using UG/NX since about 1990. I wouldn't be surprised of they were bringing the former Rocketdyne into the fold...especially with the Florida P&W rockets division using NX.

P&W Canada does use CATIA V5, however.

I think the issue is like many places, the design system is driven by the needs and wants of its existing users. This division of PW is very old with some layoffs over the years that have left many older users who are comfortable with V4. But, now they are up against GE and even SpaceX who are NX users. (John Baker if you're hovering...) PW needs to see the turbo module. I smell some sales! ;-)
