NX Expression

Hi I am trying to use Expressions on NX to manipulate an assembly but I am not sure if it is possible or how to do it.

Basically I have a serial code egg. 6T4L3MS1800 and a list of options that client may want egg. A21+B31+C41+D51+E61+F71.

I would like to enter these two variable 6T4L3MS1800 and A21+B31+C41+D51+E61+F71 to configure my assembly. Is it possible?

Yes, this is most probably possible, but we need to know a little more to give a definite answer.
what would for example B31 mean ? Is it a color? a component ? variant of a component ? specific Thread ? surface treatment ? pressure classification ? material ? etc
