Hello everyone, new here!

Wondering if someone can help me out here... I have an airfoil and i'd like to find an easy way to extract the coordinate points/location of the profile/shape. I've created a point set, the problem is id need to manually get/copy each location (~30points) and input it into excel. is there an easier way to do this process? I've tried GRIP but im afraid im not too sure on how to script this.

I know there's probably multiple ways to do this so please share(with or without an additional license). if license is needed, what is it? This is for NX (versionNX 12.0.2.9) Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest using a journal instead of GRIP as they are easier to work with. If you have one or more point sets that you need to export, it should be fairly straightforward. The following thread has a guide on working with Excel via journals. It was written by a now retired Siemens employee. It is a few years old now, but all the info is still useful.
The guide is part of the SNAP documentation, but you don't need SNAP to use most of the code.

Sounds like a reverse action, the most common question is how to import points for an airfoil.. :)
why do you want to export the points ? for what use ?

Can you not export the curves or the surfaces , finite elements etc , in some format ?

Regards,
Tomas
