Hello,
Working in NX12. 5-axis machining. Using a cutter to follow a created curve to trim around a part. The tool axis is interpolate vectors that are manually adjusted around the profile of the part to avoid collisions with the head. This is not the issue. The issue is when a change to the data comes in. If the operation has to be changed to accommodate a revision change those manually adjusted vectors go away and have to be re-created. Some programs have many vectors.
When a journal file is recorded we get all of the start points and vector information. We would like to create a journal file that takes that data and creates lines that match those vectors and add to the part in model space. Ultimately it would be nice to add a button to the window where you edit the vectors that would run the journal to create the lines.
Attached is the journal file recorded while editing the interpolated vectors to get the location and vectors.
I am very green with coding. Early stages of learning.
Thank you for any assistance.
