NX Motion question please?

Hi,

I'm trying to make an animation of a cylinder following a path however have been unable to encourage the cylinder to move. Please can anyone help me with how to set up the motion simulation?

I've modelled the path as a surface. I've constrained the edge of the cylinder to the edge of the path surface as a curve on curve constraint; the path is a fixed link and the cylinder is a slider joint. I'm not sure if this is correct so far and what to do next? I've tried various things but haven't been able to get the cylinder to move!
