Hello all, I am in the process of D/Ling and installing NX to work alongside SolidWorks, but Siemens has been clear they will provide no support for my student edition. I'm looking for a place I can read about and learn the basics of using NX to flow test parts and assemblies that I've designed and created in SW. I see no stickies, but if anyone is able to point me in a useful direction other than whatever "help" functionality that is built into the software I'd be grateful. Thanks!

-Respectfully,

Chad

Ok well D/Ling is just lazy for "downloading", and a "sticky" refers to a thread or post that is stuck to the top of a group, like FAQ's and other common or otherwise useful and highly requested information that forum users can easily refer to.

Thanks.

Well . . . there ia a "stcky" two pages prior to this thread, with the title New to NX with some good info that will help you.

There are a lot of "experienced" (read old) people on this forum that aren't familiar with young people's slang. It's best to avoid such words on this forum.

there is actually an FAQ-link but there aren't many faq's posted unfortunately.

No worries. I believe they are more a forum thing and not age related. If this forum is not familiar with them, well I'm a little surprised but honestly could care less. Glad I'm considered young at 35. Thank you. Anyway, I've used the search function for "New to NX" and that has not brought up the post that Jerry mentions.

Does "2 pages prior to this thread" refer to the page located at Home > Forums > Engineering Computer Programs? There are multiple paths to this page. Thanks again.

The search function here isn't very good. It's often better to do a google search and add inurl:eng-tips.com or however you exactly do that.
