Has anyone found this capability in the later versions of NX? I remember using it somewhere around NX2-6 but have not been able to access the capability in later versions.

The description is this: during perspective viewing, the user can zoom into a part/assy and at some point the forward plane (near the viewer) clips the geometry so that the user can see inside the model (whether it be in the solid domain between skins of a part or the cavity of an assy).

I think what you are looking for is
(pull down menu) View -> Navigation -> Fly Through

In the linked thread , Cowski replies with the section feature,
that can be found in the top of the assembly navigator. ( will work piece parts as well, but still in the assembly navigator. Right click and create new .)

Depending on the amount of perspective you will be able to move "into the model" i.e view a factory from the inside.
to do this , adjust the perspective to a "comic book amount" then use the fly through ( NX12 and later) or the Navigate (NX 12 and older versions.) and move forward.

Tomas

Oh my,
To me, perspective views and cameras are one of the major fails in NX (along with the controversial measuring tool). It is very complicated to have a "look over" first person view inside a model. Camera clipping is as well very tricky in my opinion.
