NX Thermal - Transient

Hi,

I am trying to use NX Thermal to analyse a brake system. I would like to simulate the entire system over a certain amount of time, say 15 seconds, however I would only like to apply a thermal load to the rotor for a smaller time period (say 2 seconds) to simulate the braking itself.

Can this be done, and if so, how?! I've had a look around the different settings, using transient and steady state (I'm assuming transient is what I need) and while I can get the whole simulation to run for a specified time I can't get the load to only be on for a short time.

Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thank you

For anyone reading this post wanting to know the answer, I've worked it out! Under thermal loads, where you put in the value (in Watts for heat load), change it from "expression" to "field". Then click on the drop down menu and select "Table constructor".

It is then fairly straight forward to just put in time values that you require the load to be on and then for other times just set it to 0. The whole thing interpolates automatically so you need only minimal entries unless you've got a complex loading pattern going on.
