I'm laying out some simple geometry in NX10 using the line feature. I want to use some high contrast colors to differentiate the lines.
However, when I select the line > Edit Object Display > change color, and I pick yellow, or cyan, or lime green, the display in the graphics window looks like a darker hue of those colors. Yellow looks like a dark gold, cyan looks like royal blue, and lime green looks like a forest green.

I am using the standard light grey gradient background.
If I change the part background to a darker color, like black, the lines show up the intended bright colors.

I feel like NX is noticing that the colors I pick would not produce very good contrast, and is automatically changing them to darker colors that better contrast my background. Is this the case? I think I'd rather be able to pick colors that make for poor contrast and come back and change them on my own if desired.

Any experience here?

Yes, that's exactly what NX is doing, but you can turn that option 'OFF', I just can't remember exactly where it is, but I would check Display/View Settings as I suspect that you'll find it there.

Thanks to both of you.

That's a handy thing to change, glad I know where it's at now.
