Hello

I have positioned a model in one *.prt file and saved that position as a custom view.

I want to copy this custom view to another *.prt file (containing a similar model) - the goal here is to get models in both files oriented in the exact same manner, making it easier to cycle between screenshots of the two models (cycling between the two screenshots in this way will clearly show differences between the models)

Is this possible? If yes, please share the steps that I must follow to accomplish this. If not, kindly let me know what alternatives exist.

Thanks & regards

Hi,

The best method is to create an assembly with the custom view and add your part as component

You can create that custom view in the model space, then import it into your drawing.
To create a custom view start with saving a canned view to a different name View -> Operation-> Save As -> enter new name.
Then when you rotate the view to the angle you want you will need to save it. View _> Operation -> Save
