Hi,
can somebody tell me how to mill for example a 0.2mm symetrical chamfer on a 12mm hole with a 6mm, 45degree chamfer tool in nx12. I am really struggling. I am trying to use the planar mill operation and set the tracking points for my chamfer tool as I did in NX11 but the functionality appears to have changed again. Variables I would have set are now greyed out. I can't find any info. What am I missing? Should it be this hard to mill a simple chamfer?

many thanks,
James

For chamfering holes, have you looked into the Chamfer Milling subtype operation in Hole Making?

Tingsryd - that works for round holes, many thanks! What about shapes that are not round? What is the best way to do it now? The previous method using planar milling as in NX11 is no longer clear... Any ideas?

cheers,
James

I don't recall what the tracking point dialog looked like in NX11 but in 12 are you clicking on Add New Set to create more tracking points?
