I have been given the task of converting a CATIA V5 model to NX 12, modifying existing components and adding new components, then fully constraining model (which consist of numerous dumb bodies as a result of NX-to-CATIA conversion) and creating NX 12 drawing of the completely converted and modified model.
After successfully converting CATIA to NX, making model changes and fully constraining assemblies, I am having difficulty with NX 12 drawing view loading and updates.
It is taking a ridiculous amount of time on many of the high level assemblies (over 30 minutes per view in some cases).
The low level assemblies seem to be loading rather quickly.
Not sure if the problem lies with the method used to convert to NX.
As I recall, I simply opened the highest level CATProduct file within NX 12 and NX began the conversion process automatically.
Perhaps someone can provide insight concerning root cause of this extremely slow drawing load/update process.
I have updated my drafting preferences to minimize generation of centerlines, hidden lines and radius bend-tangent lines.
Problem still remains. Assistance Needed!
Please advise. Thanks!
