I have an assembly loaded into my file. We need to extract edges of bodies from different files. However we create two different types of views in modeling.
First type...
This view has the top part extracted solid. Parts beneath that part are extracted in dashed lines and trimmed so they do not extend beyong the top part.
Second Type...
This view extracts edges so parts are viewed as if solid and not showing lines that are hidden to your vision.
I found a simple way to do the second type by extracting all in work view while expanded into a view in drafting. Only we need to make these views in modeling. Each one takes a bit of time to make. I was wondering if there is a journal that will do either of these (if not both) to help save time?
Logically I would have expected NX to have a way to extract only visible lines in modeling, but that doesnt seem to be the case. If I am wrong, please teach me.

My brain is like a sponge. A sopping wet sponge. When I use it, I seem to lose more than I soak in.
