NX1884 PDF Export , line widths

Can anybody give any tips on doing a PDF export according to line widths ?
I wasted more than a half day trying to make it work, and
I tried CUSTOM WIDTHS, and thought I set them properly, but it all printed as a single width. I also tried the other methods, but it wouldn't work.
All I want is three widths to print to a PDF.
Why is this so hard ?

I'm always using Custom Palette for the widths. Seems to me the most straight forward way.
There you can define width for each color index in your drawing.
