NX2 CAM can't modify cutter values

NX2.052

Suddenly my NC programs are missing some code when posted.
My G43 line posted the tool offset value as 00.

I went into the cutter description and discovered that the box "Adjust Register" was set to zero. I typed in a number, pressed "OK" and then posted the cut path again.

Still getting H00. Hmmm...
Went back to cutter editor and discovered that it reset back to 0. I can type in a number there but it always resets back to 0. This has never been a problem before, it acts as if there is some sort of write protection on this box.

Additionally I am finding that a couple programs are missing the G43 line altogether.

Any thoughts?

Yikes...Dangerous!

first off, I do not use NX2... So I can only guess

You said you modified the tool description. The operation tool offset may be set to local rather than inherited. If it is set locally to zero, editing the tool description will not change the output.

Missing the G43 is trickier. Generally the post puts the G43 on the "first linear move", sometimes if your last operation ends at the same Z level as your next operation starts on, the post doesn't see a linear Z move. I see this behavior normally on drilling cycles. Try changing the avoidance planes on the operations in question and see if it helps.

Check the operation and see if the adjust number is set to zero. If it was overwriten then the value in the operation will be output. I don't think NX2 had the option for Local or Inherited on the dialog. I think you can right click on the operation and select object - Inheritence list .. Then click the checkbox for adjust number, If I recall correctly.
