NX3 Crash - maybe video problem?

I am using NX3 on a HP nw8240 and it crashes many times a day. Has anyone else ran into this?

Also when I use the gradiant background, parts of it remain black.

Set it to classic windows style and update the graphics drivers to the latest from the vendor's website.

Our last boxes were a HP variety, the graphics card supplied was supported by UG but HP had special drivers for it which gave us problems (back on NX1). I don't remember the details, our IT guru is out today so I can't give more info.
