Hi,
This is my 1st question here.
Anyone know how to reverse the direction of extrude on screen with the mouse in NX3?

I know I can bring up the full Extrude Dialog and there is a reverse direction button. But I feel like I should be able to click on the Green arrow on the screen and do it. I feel like I'm missing something.

Someone else thought something was missing also. In NX4 you can control the direction and distance in the graphics window using the mouse.

You'll have to wait until you upgrade.

Thanks fgbrender. Now I know it's UG and not me

I'm using NX3.0.4.2....try to hover your mouse over the extrusion as you're creating it, then MB3 click and pick direction. You will then see the Vector Constructor menu.

No need for the big dialog now.

....rather, if you hover your mouse over the Extrusion, while still in creation mode, then click MB3, a popup menu will appear. Then, you have your choice of picking Direction, which will then bring up the Vector Constructor, or you can pick Reverse Direction from the same pulldown. Either way, you don't have to invoke the full Extrude dialog just to change direction. It can be done with the mouse.

I personally feel UGS should have made the graphical arrow that represents the direction a clickable arrow, similar to the ones you see in the Face Blends. Maybe that's what is now available in NX4.

I'm running NX v3.0.2.3
I do get the popup: "if you hover your mouse over the Extrusion."
This should save some clickS, and answers the question I had.
Thanks, nkwheelguy
