NX4 Crosshatching doesn't fill out the boundary, or goes outside of the boundary. Is this a known issue? How can I fix it?
Thanks,

Not just NX4, as far as I know. Changing the Crosshatch tolerance, or the angle of the Crosshatch can "fix" this.

I've always had some problems with UG crosshatching (back to V8). There are workarounds such as that suggested by Paul.

Is this cross-hatching the automatic kind that is added in a section view or the kind created manually by picking boundary objects?

If it is the manual kind, you will find that the order you pick the objects in will affect the outcome. For example, if you cross-hatch a rectangle by picking the top - left - bottom - right will give correct results while top - left - right - bottom will give incorrect results. For best results you will want to chain around the perimeter (not skip around) when picking the boundary.

Changing the tolerance and angle are great for minor fixes, but won't help a bad pick order.

Thanks to all for the input.
The faulty xhatch is automatically generated. However, the same problem occurs when I move the automatic xhatch to an invisible layer and replace it manually. I tried changing the angle and tolerance: same result. I have been using UG almost continually since V9, and have seen problems with xhatch also. But this is the first I have seen like this.
Am sending files to UGS. Will post the results when I get feedback from UGS.

Thanks again to all who contributed to this discussion.
