In UGS NX 4 the 'annotation placement' options have been moved from a dialog and have been placed on a toolbar. So if the toolbar is not displaying when you open the annotation dialog, go to Customize and toggle on the 'Annotation Placement' toolbar.

Hello John ... I have the annotation toolbar set already and it is in place.... my problem is when I select annotation editor I do not get the 'annotation placement' dialogue and thus cannot hook up using arrow leaders, the annotation placement is what;s missing .... I could not see a way of switching that on and off

regards ......... gary

OK, don't go into the annotation editor, rather than double-clikcing the dimension, just select it and with the cursor over the highlighted dimension press MB3 (right mouse-button) and select the 'Origin...' option. That will give you what you're looking for.

I'm a NX3 user - I have a similar problem - as the last - answer from John R states - when using the MB3 - I do not have an Origin Optiion (NX4 Placement dialogue window gone missing).
also, when using Basic Curves - there is not an option (preferences..?) for inputting parameters?

People, the user who was having the difficulty here is on vacation this week but I believe he fixed the problem simple by changing the screen resolution, I will check with him when he returns ...
