NX4 plotting in Windows 7 1

I have recently installed NX4 on Windows 7 Pro. It is running well except for the plotting. I have set up UG the same as on the older Windows XP machines but we can't plot from the Windows 7 machines.
I have two environment variables set:

UGII_PLOT_NODE=192.9.200.87 (computer the plotter is connected to)
UGII_SDI_SERVER_CFG_DIR=I:\design\nx4\Plotters\ (plotter definition files)

It creates a CGM file in:
C:\Users\<login-name>\AppData\Local\Temp
But we never get a plot out.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any input.

(it will be nice when we get back on maintenance and can upgrade to UGNX 7.5)

My guess is that you're probably using 64bit Windows 7?

On 64bit systems (Vista & Win 7), the two variables UGII_SDI_BPS_JOBS_DIR & UGII_SDI_OVERRIDE_HOME need to be set.
When they are unspecified they are created in the users profile, but Win 7 & Vista works their permissions differently from WinXP.

Creating those two variables & then pointing them to look at a folder, (c:\temp is the example I would follow) fixes the problem.

Simplest way to create the variables is:

Windows Control Panel -> System -> Advanced (TAB) -> Environment Variables (button)

Add a system variable and then enter the variable name & variable value

UGII_PLOT_NODE is not used for NX4.

Thank you Anthony Galante!
That fixed our plotting problem. Yes we are using 64bit Windows7.

I looked on the site for help (and elsewhere on the internet) but couldn't find any. Is there somewhere I could have looked to find the answer or is it in the documentation for UG NX7 perhaps? (and we still don't have that version)

Thanks again..

It would in the Siemens GTAC database, so if your not on maintenance you would never find it.

I'm sure I've posted something about this before on eng-tips.
