Here's a simple model:

A circular-cross-section shaft is loaded under torsion with one end held fixed.

The shaft (actually, shaft centerline) is modeled with 1-D beam elements. It's easy to fix one of the end nodes. I can't figure out how to apply a torque boundary condition at the other end though. How should it be done?

I've thought that a 'force-at-a-distance' might be a possibility, but it doesn't look like the "Force" boundary condition has that functionality built in. Perhaps I'd have to make an additional, radial line at the end to model the distance to the outer fiber?

I'd appreciate your help.
