What would cause some assembly constraints not to get loaded when the assembly model is opened up?

I have unchecked "use partial loading" in the load options, but that does not seem to help ... maybe I will see what happens tomorrow.

First off, you say 'assembly constraints' so you do NOT mean Mating Conditions, but rather the new NX 5 Assembly Constraints, correct?

You say that they are 'not loaded'. Do you mean that constraints that you expected to be there are missing completely, or they are there but flagged with either a Yellow or Red circle/X symbol?

They are there but flagged with either a Yellow or Red circle/X symbol (I don't remember which one - I will check when I get back to work) ... When I open the assembly constraints tree there are only a few of them that don't get constrained, and they are all similar in the way that they are parallel to a plane.

Jerry,

Assuming that you're opening the components fully by turning off the partial loading, then could it be that you loaded the faceted reference sets by default. You could in that case turn the partial loading back on, but open the files with the solid bodies to have your constraints re-activated.

Failing that would you allow that some of the parts may have changed in which case geometry that the constraints depended upon may have been altered in a few cases requiring that you reattach some of the constraints.

Cheers
