Hi all,
This is related my previous post about the TOOL AXIS option in manufacturing dialog boxes.
For some reason, the tool axis option in cavity mill is never there...
I need to enable it each and every time I make a new operation. very uncool.

This is brand new behavior. NX never did this before. I can't imagine why ONE operation type would default like that when all the others are fine.

My question is How do I set the defaults for each operation type?

Thanks,
Jay

have you disabled the dialog memory settings in the customer default? Gateway -> Userinterface General tab
save dialog box setting
mabe you have to clean up the dialog meory settings under Preference -> User interface -> General tab
Reset dialog box settings

Thanks,

Unfortunatley those do not help.

My customer default is set up to save the dialog box settings, however it is not doing it.
It's not even saving the setting within the same session let alone between various sessions.

My user interface preference pane does not have a "reset" button that you speak of...Hmmm...

if you are on nx5 try to delete the DialogMemory.dlx file in the %userprofile%\appadata\blalbla\nx5\

Thanks uwam2ie but no dice.
Deleting the dialog memory did nothing cause I never changed anything to begin with.

Seriously, can no one explain how to set a default dialog box up? No one has experienced this?

I'm gonna have to stop using cavity mill cause it is really frustrating to have to set up the dialog box each time I open it!!!!
