NX6 ôShow Component in Viewö component selection issue

Using NX6.0.2.8. Looking for advice for the following situation:

Using ‘Hide Component in View’ functionality to hide multiple quantities of the SAME component. Then, if you need to SHOW only one or a few of that multiple quantity component, the ‘Show Component in View’ dialog does not seemingly provide any way to identify what component instance you will be showing.

You can not select from the assembly navigator. You can only ‘guess’ what component to select from the list OR show ALL of the multiple quantity component, then again hide what you do not want to see???

I am running the same version, and have no problem picking components from the ANT. Do you have "Pack All" active? If so, "Unpack All" should allow you to see the individual components and allow you to pick them.

So, if you go to "Assemblies -> Context Control -> Show Components in View" you can now select components from the assembly navigator? I can not do this, regardless of pack state. I can only select from the 'Show Components in View' dialog.

I can't do it with that method either, but the other method seems to work quite well, so is that not an option?

Thanks for the suggestion, but no, that is not an option for this specific situation.

The requirement is for a view that has 25 of one component hidden using the "Hide Component in View" functionality and you want to show one of those 25, one that is in a specific location. How do I select the one component in that specific location? There is no way to discriminate from the "Show Component in View" menu selection. Again, I am not attempting to simply select a component.. I need to "Show Component in View" and be able to select a component in a specific location. Thanks.
