I'm having some strange results with arrangements in NX6 (6.0.0.24). I have an assembly with multiple parts and subassemblies; for my arrangement I am interested in moving 1 part and 1 subassembly (consisting of 3 components). All the files are older versions that have been opened and saved in NX6. It seems that only the component of the main assembly and at best 1 componenet of the subassembly will honor the arrangements that I set up, the other 2 will stay in their new position when I switch between arrangements.

I have write permissions to all the files involved and I have tried creating/applying the arrangements with the main assembly as the work part, with the subassembly as the work part, and with the subassembly as the displayed part.

In the 'move component' dialog box I'm using the 'apply to used' option for arrangements. I currently don't have access to the NX6 help files so any tips are appreciated.

Ok, I may have sorted this out. It seems I have to get used to the quirks of the new dialog boxes. In the move component dialog box I was using the 'rotate about an axis' option and it seems you have to set the options in the bottom of the dialog before you enter an angle value. If you work the dialog box from top to bottom, it moves the component(s) as soon as you pick component(s), define a vector, and enter an angle value - if you change settings after that point (eg copy options or arrangment options) but before you press OK or Apply, those changes seem to have no effect.
