NX6 Journal: You can't automate a section view?

Hello everyone -

It is my understanding that you cannot journal a section view in NX6. Is this true?

My company always creates a "right view" as a base view and always sections this view to create their draft, I was hoping to create a journal to automate this task, but cannot find a way to do this. Is it possible?

Many of the Drafting functions have not yet been updated so as to be compatible with Journaling, however over time this will be improved. In the mean time, just because a Journal can't be created does not mean that it's not possible to automate this sort of workflow, just that you will need to program it manually using more traditional NX Open tools.

It's a work-in-progress, but NX 8.0 Section View creation is still using the same UI as does NX 6.0.
