I have Nx7.5, 16 GB memory (RAM), DeLL work station, SSD
in NXNSTRAN > BIN >..
there are
LP solvers, which can address max 8 GB RAM, and it works fine
Nastran.exe
nastran64.exe

ILP solvers, which can address max 1 TB of RAM, and I can't make them works with more than 8 GB
nastranw.exe
nastranw64.exe

I made a switch from Nastran.exe to nastranw(64).exe in customer default and "solve > edit solver parameter > solver executable (disabled "use environment variable UGII_NX_NASTRAN" > click at "user specified" > pointed to nastranw64.exe > OK > change memory to 10 GB

NOTE: on the same window where is memory are
solution monitor = check mark
old = no check mark
scretch = yes
s-directory is assigned (it is with 40 GB space)

OK

DID NOT WORK

What is wrong?

Dear Nikon,
If you have ONLY 16 GB of RAM do not use at all the NX NASTRAN ILP solver nastran64L.exe, the regular LP solver nastran64.exe is correct.

This is a typical error form end users: to allocate a lot of RAM to the NX NASTRAN solver!!. Wrong, in most cases using simply mem=5GB is more than sufficient, please note the OS need RAM memory to manage I/O, this is critical with NX NASTRAN, then do not waste your RAM memory allocating too much for the solver, let the OS to use it to speed I/O task, OK?.

Simply when solving any model take a look to the OS TASK MANAGER and see the ANALYSIS process, you will be surprised for the low value, this is the RAM used by the NX NASTRAN solver!!.

You say that you have an SSD disk, great!. This is critical to use the SSD disk as scratch directory for NX NASTRAN: make sure the NX NASTRAN keyboard SDIR points to that drive!!.

Best regards,
Blas.
