NX7.5 "Part is locked and cannot be updated" When Adding Constraints 1

I have a sub-assembly to which I am trying to constrain 2 fasteners. Previously I used assembly constraints with no problem. Now the constraints have gone out of date. When I try to edit the constraints, or even delete them and create new constraints I get the error message "Part is locked and cannot be updated". The part is not read-only.

What is "locking" my part and how do I "unlock" it?

Thanks,
Jeff

Are you running under Teamcenter, or some other PMD-type managed environment?

Sorry, I meant a 'PDM-type' managed system.

Hi Jeff,
Have you done any wave linking in the assembly also? Also what version of NX are you using?
Please check Assemblies/Wave /Associativity Manager settings too(delay Assembly constraint Updates).Besides this do a cursory check if any component is in frozen state.
Best Regards

Yes there is wave linking in the assembly. I'm using NX 7.5. I just check the Wave associativity manager, and updated all the parts and it seems to work now.

Thanks!
Jeff
