NX7 Pattern and templates files open in NX6

I know you cannot open a .prt file in NX6 that was saved in NX7 but what about pattern files or template (seed files) for that matter, that are saved in NX7, can these be used by NX6?

I am guessing it cannot as template and pattern files are .prt files but thought I had better double check.

You are correct in observing that 'template' files appear to also be '.prt' files, and therefore they will have the same restrictions as any other Part File when it comes to which version you can open them in. They can go up the chain, but not down.
